February 2016 Students of the Month
Eric Sullivan (left) is a junior from Cony enrolled in the Computer Technology program. He enjoys the hands on work he gets to do with computers as a part of the class. His instructor, Mr. Jim Temple says, “Eric is a diligent worker who always gets his work done. He asks great questions and always shows interest in learning more about what he is working on.” Eric recently was awarded a silver medal in the local SkillsUSA competition, beating out seniors in the class who are enrolled in the program for a second year. Eric plans to take the Computer Tech second year program next year. In the future, Eric would like to have a career as a computer engineer.
Troy Worster (right) is a senior from Maranacook Community High School enrolled in the Law Enforcement program. He enjoys the hands on activities in the class that help him understand the concepts of the class. His instructor, Mr. Peter Couture, says, “Troy displays commitment and dedication to the law enforcement program every day. He shows professionalism and self-discipline in all he does.” Troy was recently selected to carry the American flag for the program’s honor guard team. When Troy is not in class, he enjoys participating in Marancook athletics, which this year includes the football, Nordic skiing and track teams. In the fall, Troy plans on attending a 4 year college to study criminal justice and then pursue a career in law enforcement.
