Captain Josh W. Jacques tells his story
"I was in the Law Enforcement Program as it was called at the time
(Criminal Justice) and graduated in 1997. I learned about the value of
physical training and how to properly wear a uniform. I later chose a
career as an Army Officer because of many of my experiences at CATC.
Many criminal justice agencies are looking for military service as a
prerequisite for applicants. The weapon safety class at CATC played a
huge role as my first experience with a handgun. I didn't know it at
the time but years later, I would carry the same weapon a Beretta 9 MM
everyday as my backup weapon as a military transition team member
embedded with an Iraqi Infantry Battalion. The program prepared me for
success in college and my career as an Army Officer."
