Erica Brown, of Farmingdale, a student in the Culinary Arts program at CATC, has utilized her culinary skills for the greater good.
In February, Slate's Restaurant in Hallowell was destroyed by a fire.
In April, A "Prom Preview Fashion Show" was held, to raise money for Slate's.
In conjunction with the show, Erica made a wedding cake and auctioned it off for $5 per slice.
Slate's Restaurant is again open for business. Many community members helped to make this possible.
